As a Pens fan I REALLY like Staal.....but I understand it from his point of view as well....he was being overshadowed by Crosby and Malkin and wasnt receiving the optimal playing time in his mind..Plus now he gets to play with his brother.
In the long run both teams did well, TRYST me Shero doesnt come out as a loser in deals and makes the best of situations.....goligoski - neal deal for example. The Pens will be just fine...especially with all the freed up cap space that just came available.....TIME TO GO SHOPPING!!! PARISE - Aisle 1......Suter - Aisle 2.......HMMMMM!! I wonder if its double coupon Tuesday!!!

I think after Staal turned down the extension Shero knew he was gone after next year so he figured he might as well get something for him. Staal new he was never going to be better than a third liner in Pittsburg.

I don't think going after Suter makes a lot of sense... UNLESS, that's why they dealt Michalek.. but, then why pick Pouliot? And certainly they won't have THAT much cap space to sign Parise AND Suter.. but.. even if they get one of them.. you still have Mr. Inconsistent manning the nets...

Well we did pick up like 4 goalies in the draft along with adding Voukon..hopefully that will light a fire under Fleurys Buttocks!!

they got these 2 in the draft....But never the less it may give a little motivation to Fleury even if they should not be ready for a couple of years...I do like that matt M is 6'4. I wonder if he is done growing though....
