After seeing the main article of the 2008 topps sp selling for 250, and then finding another 5 sp's that sell for 40+ I was wondering if I should go to my store and buy all the 2008 topps hobby boxes they have collecting dust... They are either 40 or 50 bucks can't remember off hand....

Absolutely not. Many of the SPs from 2008 have come down to realistic prices and you can get hobby boxes for $25 each online

Last week I made an offer on a $25 buy it now hobby box that was accepted. I didn't get any SPs. My relic was a Nick Markakis bat card that I put back online to buy some 2012 stuff. I got 1 black card too. The rest were 1:6 or better odds inserts in each pack. I would do it again for that price but not more.

Honestly I was hoping for one of the higher value presidential cards than any player, but I only got some of the more common presidential matchups.
