Are these legit graders?

This thread was mainly for a piece of mind. If enough people think they are legit than that's enough for me. The cards are pc so I'm not worried as long as others think they are good. Thanks again

Remember GAI? That was the first company to first grade these. As time wen on, PSA and Beckett started to as well. I wouldn't trust any other companies when it comes to grading (other than SGC), especially when it comes to the infamous and highly counterfeited Star Cards.

Good luck!

The 80s Star cards are notoriously counterfeited, so you have to be careful when buying them. I would trust GAI, PSA, BGS and SGC (or old SCD with red labels when they were Sports Cards Digest and not Sports Cards Direct, which is a different company and from what I read they grade fakes and trimmed cards).
As for CSA, I don't usually buy them. There was a post a couple years back about getting an altered card graded from CSA.

Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards.  Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.

I only have one CSA card and only paid 15 for it so I figured I would give it a chance. Since it was so cheap I figured I could get it now and replace it later. Thanks for the info

I would check with Mr. Taft, and if you think it is real then that is all that matters.

RE: Are these legit graders?
I purchased a CSA 9 Star Crunch N Munch Jordan a year or so ago. Recently I cracked the card out of the case and the card was so clearly trimmed that I nearly laughed until I remembered I spent money on it. In my opinion that's the purpose of 3rd party graders, I'm ok with the grade not being exactly what I thought but at least indicate if there are things wrong with the card not just "grade" the card looking at it from 5 feet away. I'd stay clear of CSA.
