Need Help on Box Purchase
Hey guys, I have a bunch of Amex points accumulated and they are having an additional 20% of their store prices if I buy something before April 2nd. A few items that they have listed are hockey card boxes. Only two stand out as potentially "good" purchases. So I need to know if anyone would buy either of these for the price listed and help me with the pros and cons of each. My options are:
2010-11 Upper Deck Series 2 Retail Box (24pks) $71.99
2010-11 Score Retail Box (36pks) $35.99
or I can get a Walmart gift card equivalent to the box price.
So would you spend $72/$36 or take the $50/$25 Walmart gift card (which I would use on hockey cards (blasters)).

I would look at doing 10-11 Upper Deck Series 2 myself. These boxes were hard to come by shortley after the product was released.

The $25 box is a 12pk blaster. The one I am referring to is the 24pk Retail box. But I see what you're saying 25*2=50<72. DaCardWorld states "The scarcest regular Upper Deck Hockey product ever made. Hobby boxes are nearly impossible to find!" But my option is Retail. lol.
If I do the gift card, I can get 2-4 blasters.

They aren't great prices. But it's a free box of hockey cards or a $50 Wal-Mart gift card...
