Stocks? This hobby might actually be safer, or at least you lose less money. A card worth $100 now is never going to be worth $0. It is all in fun. I still open the boxes because there are so many possibilities of what might happen. If it does not, I save up and buy another.

I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.

Busting wax is " entertainment" not an " investment". Its like going to the casino and getting pissed when you lose. You have to see it for what it is. If your in it to make money or even break even, your going about it all wrong. Stay away from busting wax. How would it even be possible for every person that busted a box make money? does that even make sense? It doesnt take much effort, skill or knowledge to rip packs. If you wanna make money you have to do something different than the masses.

You have to be crazy to break boxes to make money. I mean you would probably make more buying and reselling singles. But I'm with you on the value. It's not like you bought 1 box for $100 and didn't get what you were looking for. You bought a case worth and didn't get anything.

And it gets even worse, you think the Beckett BV makes your $1300 look bad, wait till you see the value they're selling at. Probably 1/4 to 1/3 of the high BV for most.

You should be happy with your bust. You at least got over 50% of your value back. I barely broke 25% on my latest 2011 Topps Supreme bust! Must say I was very disappointed but, it can only get better the next time!
