OK, OK.... I know its merely wishful thinking... but this is probably one of the most awesome early oddball Marinos I have come to own... Its 13" x 14.5" and felt... the best part? It CLEARLY states copyright 1983. if it was 1916 baseball, this would be a set. LOL.



So my question.... has anyone ever seen one of these before, of any player? If so, were they issued black and white and the buyer was to paint them? Without further ado, here she be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I remember right, they were black and white and you had to paint them with paint pens that were more like tubes of paint. They were ball point. I never had any sports ones but I did have a few tiger scenes. Man that was ages ago!

That would be crazy if this was painted by hand... The artist did AMAZING then.

It could also be silkscreen proof or display of a t-shirt design. It's printed on pellon, and possibly silkscreened. Chances are that's probably what it is. I would frame it

Its definitely being framed. I bought one as the seller stated it was 11 x 14. that didnt work. LOL.

Pellon is usually in 12x12 squares. I used to do airbrushing and all our samples were painted on them

Well, went with the clothing lead... and got some google hits... ProSport clothing trademark began in 1983, ended 1985... The trademarked logo description matches the piece...
