Selling on eBay

Selling on eBay
I recently put a card on eBay as I have come into some hard times financially and I know this card is not very common.

I put up my listing and everything, yes this is my first eBay sell. I have tried searching for the card and cannot find the listing. Obviously if I can't find it what are the chances someone else who's interested can find it?

Is there a way you can't search youre own cards so you can't bid on them or is my card just not being displayed?

Any help would be great!

RE: Selling on eBay
The main things your need in the listing are:

1. Year - 10-11
2. Name - Jaromir Jagr
3. Set Name - Ultimate
4. Serial Number - /100
5. Type of card - patch, auto, etc...

I am a Jagr pc collector and everyday I search "Jagr" in newly listed and that is it.

RE: Selling on eBay
On a very few occasions, I have seen my own listings take a little while - maybe up to an hour or two - to show up on ebay. I believe if you read all of the fine print, at some point in the listing process it states that listings may not be immediatley viewable. But it doesn't happen often, and I didn't notice the disclaimer until about my hundredth listing. Maybe that's the problem you're having?

You can get to your listing, first of all, by going to your eBay Sellers page. You can check it from there, make sure you're using the right search keywords, etc., when looking for it. And yes, sometimes it does take a while to show up in the search.

Also if you are not searching in the correct catagory then your item will not show up. Also make sure you have posted it in the right catagory as well to sell. Your card is not going to sell if you posted it in arts & crafts.

RE: Selling on eBay
When did you put it up - like the others have said above it can sometimes take several hours to show up in the search database.

If you just put it up recently, I wouldn't sweat it too bad, as most of the action comes in the last day (often the last few minutes) of an auction.
I see one on Ebay.ca (Canada) but not on Ebay.com (US)

RE: Selling on eBay
Why don't things show up on eBay US and Canada?

Good to know people can find it! I have no idea what it's worth so just put a high BIN with Best Offer as well.

RE: Selling on eBay
I just started listing stuff on eBay a couple months ago. I had never had any issue like that until last week on friday. I posted a brand new card on there as soon as I pulled it out of the pack. I litterally searched it for hours and changed it several times. I didnt notice it in search until like maybe the next morning.

They say that it can take up to 24 hours but normally it shows up practically right away. If you did a seven day auction then it should be fine. I would only worry if you did like a 1 or 3 day auction as it can really take a lot of your time away that the card can't be searched.
