I was thinking the same thing. I love when people simply say you have junk cards without ever asking for pictures or descriptions of what they consider the better cards to be. Besides tough inserts there could be some great rookies like 1989 Upper Deck Griffey, 1993 SP Jeter, or something earlier like a mint condition 1978 Eddie Murray, 1979 Ozzie Smith, or even a 1980 Rickey Henderson. Heck maybe the collection has some of the rarer error cards from the 80s and early 90s that are worth over $100 a piece. To simply say the cards are junk is just poor form without ever seeing the cards for yourself.

I agree...I myself collected heavily during the "junk years" but I have high grades (BGS 9/9.5) of pretty much every key card from 82 - 94, including a BGS 9 93 SP Jeter, 3 BGS 9.5 Randy Johnson 89 UD, 2 BGS 9.5 91 Stadium Club Brett Favre, etc. I personally am not a big fan of the massive number of parallels and inserts these days, that is part of what makes the base cards worthless. But, to each his own.
