Picked up a box on Black Friday, and wasn't very impressed. But, after seeing a fellow collector break a box yesterday and pull a RIDICULOUS patch, I gave it another try...
Here's the results:
Box 1 -
Freshman Signatures -#171 - Patrick Wierciock - Ottawa
Fabric of The Game - #44 - Brad Richards - 174/399
(ugly card, Listed with NYR, shown with Stars, plain white swatch)
Certified Potential - #2 - Jordan Eberle - 20/99
(nice bright orange swatch)
And, the "big hit" -
Masked Marvels - #17 - Mikka Kiprusoff - 05/25
Box 2 -
Box 2 was some kind of "Hot Box" - I got SEVEN hits!
Freshman Signatures -#181 - Brendon Nash - Montreal
Freshman Signatures "SPs" - REDEMPTION - #186 - Craig Smith
Fabric of The Game - #44 - Brad Richards - 006/399
(yes, 2 of this card just as ugly, same white swatch)
Fabric of The Game - #96 - Brandon Dubinsky - 237/399
(blue swatch)
Fabric of The Game - #77 - Brian Gionta - 23/99
(doesn't look like a parallel, a SP?)
Certified Potential - #10 - Marcus Kruger - 24/25
(2 color swatch 80%black / 20%white)
Certified Champions - #2 - Zdeno Chara - 15/25
Still not overly impressed by my breaks,(quantity doesn't equal quality imo), but I've seen good ones I guess...
Quick question of others that have broken this product, did you get many / any numbered base card parallels?? I've opened 2 boxes now, and have pulled 5 from 2 boxes. I ask because I also have bought 2 boxes of Certified Football, and pulled a numbered card or 2 per PACK in football...Just wondered if it really was that much harder in hockey..
