Oh man, had to make a tuff split second decision. Ill be second guessing myself all week..... I been trying to pick this card up for months now... I wanted to pick up a BVG 8 or 8.5
I had made multiple offers on a BVG 8.5 Mark Messier RC with no luck. And then today I saw there was an 8 at auction ending in just a few hours for 150..assuming nobody else bid. So I messaged the guy with the BVG 8.5 ( BIN 299.99 or best offer) what was the least he would take. He replied with 190 shipped which is a good price I think. The only problem was by the time he replied the was less than 1min left in the auction on the 8. I had to think quick and actually flipped a card to determine what I should do ! LOL. I ended up with the 8
The main thing that determined the decision was the centering, this was the most important thing to me and the 8 and 8.5 appeared to have the same centering in fact the 8 may have looked even better to me....UGH I hope i made the right move.

I think you did great. Centering is very, very similar on the two cards (slightly off l-r, great t-b) looks like the 8.5 has slightly better edges on the whole, with both exhibiting the typical OPC rough cut on the top edge. It's a great card, a key card of the era, old school PSA 9 all the way. Enjoy it!
