Walmart, the Wife, and Topps Attax, what would you do?
It was my birthday a few days ago and my wife was kind enough to get me some nice Rays and Lightning jerseys and ballcaps.(I 'm in Tampa).
When doing grocery shopping , she was also kind enough to pick me up
some baseball cards.
Among the mix where three packs of Topps Heritage(thumbs up honey)
then there is a 30 card pack of Topps ATTAX(huh?).
1. It appears to be a game of some sort
2. I am a,traditionalist and usually get heritage or the mainstream cards
3. Dont feel like going back to walmart and waiting in the walking dead return line for $4.

What would you do?

1. Covert Op. Return them without wife's knowledge and
trade for heritage , waiting in line is,worth it.

2. Hey, these ATTAX are something different that you
dont have, give it a go. Waiting in a walmart line aint worth it.

If you choose two, what, should I expect from an attax pack?
thanks.

I would keep it. If anything else it was the thought that counts. Besides if you dont like them you can always trade them. Besides you get topps attax as an isert card all the time. You may gey a Pujols or someone good or maybe even a rc. You might go ahead and complete the set since you have so many of them. But my first statement stands " Its the thought that counts Keep them"

Attax is strictly a game like Pokemon or whatever, but with baseball players. There is nothing to be had unless for fun you like the legends refractors that are in them. Otherwise a return for Heritage would be better.

Not worth the WalMart line. Just say thank you honey and move on. Save a sealed pack for your future children lol...

If my wife ever buys me cards, I would give her a huge hug and a kiss and be extremely thankful and show her how excited I am and who knows, maybe she'd buy me some more sometime. Keep 'em and maybe trade 'em but if you do trade 'em, don't let her know. Smile
I collect Hall of Fame baseball player cards and cards of current and retired superstars.

You are right. They always know. It was a great gift and I am very thankful.
Btw. I luv the heritage cards. Can't get enough. I just love the design aesthetics. Love the cardboard also.

My wife rarely gets me cards, but I know when she does it meant something to her. It really doesn't matter what they are..I just appreciate the thought

Its great when spouses are tollerant and understanding of each others hobbies.
My wife collects dolls. Far more expensive for an early generation barbie than
What I spend on cards. Card collecting is relatively flexible budget wise.
I know friends who drop a grand on new golf clbs or a hunting rifle.
When you think of it. Our hobby is financially flexible
