2011 Topps MLB
#1

2011 Topps MLB
I have recently openned a few Hobby packs of 2011 Topps Series -1 Baseball. I found 2 cards numbered 300. One is Roy Hallaway - front and back. The other is Walter Johnson - front and back. There are subtle differences on the card backs. I have not found 2011 Check Lists for the set on the Topps website yet. I am attaching images of fronts and backs of the cards. Just curious if any other such duplicate numbered cards have been found by collectors.

RE: 2011 Topps MLB
Yea there are a few that share the same number. I found an Ozzie Smith one when I first bought 2011 Topps. I believe the alternates are SP's but don't hold me to that.

Supposedly this is the list:
(1) 5 Lou Gehrig
(2) 20 Honus Wagner
(3) 25 Carl Yastrzemski
(4) 44 Rogers Hornsby
(5) 50 Mike Schmidt
(6) 80 Jackie Robinson
(7) 90 Yogi Berra
(8) 93 Frank Thomas
(9) 100 Stan Musial
(10) 102 Christy Mathewson
(11) 135 Dale Murphy
(12) 150 Hank Greenberg
(13) 198 Johnny Bench
(14) 199 Ozzie Smith
(15) 200 Ty Cobb
(16) 209 Roy Campanella
(17) 219 Thurman Munson
(18) 247 Ernie Banks
(19) 250 Mel Ott
(20) 271 Babe Ruth
(21) 293 Harmon Killebrew
(22) 300 Walter Johnson
(23) 315 Jimmie Foxx
(24) 330 Phil Rizzuto

The checklist on Beckett shows the cards with variations using A, ie: 135A = added printed card, 136 has no alternate.
Collecting: Auto's, G/U Jsy/Bat, Refractors, etc.., Harper, Trout, Jeter, Mantle, Rivera, Pujols,Ripken, Griffey Jr, Heyward, Cal Ripken Jr., Posey,
Other Auto's, GU cards will be considered

They are the SP cards,,,great pull
They are listed at the end of the OPG checklist and are much more valuable as they are SPs..

Yeah, I pulled the Jackie Robinson short print out of 2011 Topps. Kind of cool as an addition to the set. They've done it years past, too.
*Please note that in all of my future trades, I will require extra time to ship. I have no adequate transportation to a post office. If you don't want to wait, please do not trade with me.*

Thanks for the replies. Good information. In fact I found an additional alternate card today - 90 and 90a - being Yadier Molina and Yogi Berra. I hate to admit I hadn't gone all through the Beckett Checklist or I would have found myown answer. Thanks again.

RE: 2011 Topps MLB
I recently ran across one putting a set together #480 Dustin Pedroia and Roberto Alomar. Looks like I am going to have to take a closer look at the first full set I put together. When putting sets together I tend to only look at the back of the card for the number. Now I know the diamonds are signified where the team logo should be. Is there an stand out significance on what people are calling the bling cards
