Beckett is getting paid well for having us test for them. Actually, let me correct my statement. What I should have said is aren't 20,000 eyes (10,000 pairs) better than 200 eyes (100 pairs). One thing we all have to remember though is that not all collectors are developers and not all developers are collectors. Therefore, even with extremely well written specs, senior developers, and many testers, stuff may be missed. They could release a site that throws no errors (mine has thrown maybe 5 errors since day one of the new site), they believe our Organize and Trade work perfectly fine, and next thing you know we find issues that the normal (non-collector) person wouldn't think of. RE: "All data should be migrated now" from the email
It appears that all the data migration is complete as I have went back and checked everything I added right before the new site launch as well as everything I've added since. All other problems with organize such as being able to move to different folders, layouts, deleting, and trades are still at large.
I hope others are starting to notice this too. That means progress is being made and we're getting closer to having a fully functional site!

I still have cards that I added before the second site attempt and they aren't in my collection anywhere. MODERATORTOS-Read it

I added this card the day before the second site transfer:
2007-08 Upper Deck Mini Jersey #4 Shaquille O'Neal Nowhere in my organize and the icon is not shaded. MODERATORTOS-Read it

It happens, I've seen it and I've done it. Once again you seem to be missing my point. I am ok as a user helping to test the site once it's launched. I have no issues with that. The problem I have is how can they continue to charge these users, that are supposedly helping them test, the montly subscription fee. Yes, I've heard the arguments from IT Guys, and the mods, and people who seem to think they are mods, about how pricing is working and that's what we pay for but I think that excuse has been old for a while now. The price guide and the organize tool and the trading tool go hand in hand for most of us. Again, I as a renewed collector I think the concept of this site is amazing and once, if ever, it works as it should I think it'll be one of if not the ideal place to be for a collector. Only problem is Beckett seems to not give two cents about their customers and wants to continue to take our money while we help them figure out their issues. How hard would it have been for Beckett, maybe one week into the launch once they reliazed they screwed up royally, to send out a mail or notice to users saying, yes, we screwed up and we'd like to ask you for your help in fixing this site. For your assistance we will allow you to use whatever pieces of this site that are working (not very many) at no charge until the site is fully functional. Instead we got to hear about a price increase and repeated posts from Mods telling us that we need to stop posting our issues and read the stickie posts at the top of forums. RE: "All data should be migrated now" from the email
I would even accept having my OPG subscription extended for however long it takes to get things fixed, i.e. if it takes 4 weeks for the site to be fully functional then everyone's OPG gets extended by one month. It's a nice gesture without taking existing money out of Beckett's pocket. That being said I think the hardest thing for me is the withdrawal symptoms from not being able to trade
I need my fix!Adam You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it think. |

The request to stop posting issues that have already been posted was to allow for new issues to be easily recognizable and keep the Help Forum clean. Also, any complaining threads about Beckett aren't helpful to anyone, so there's no need for them. If you're referring about an answer to Beckett charging users OPG prices which works while the Organize and Trade Tools aren't, you've already answered it, you just said you didn't like that answer. I'm not saying this rudely, I'm just stating that you did already answer it. MODERATORTOS-Read it
