Yeah, Jones could have his cocaine habit completely under control. Getting arrested one time doesn't mean that his recreational drug use has spiraled out of control. Sheesh!

Huh?

But when Matt Jones is sitting in the back of an SUV Chopping the crack down with a credit card. He will no longer be part of the organization anymore I am sure. I just hope they give the guy the help he needs.

My team likes to kill people and get D.U.I's......not many drug problems.

Cocaine usually isn't done for fun.

It's one of the most addictive drugs out there.
soon he will be on the show, Intervention.

Huh?

I kinda figured that might fly right over your head...

The answer to your bolded question is a resounding YES.

A professional athlete doing drugs in a public place - even one time - indicates he has a problem. There is no such thing as a one-time use that is acceptable. It shows poor judgment to say the least, but it is probably an indicator of more serious problems that most likely require professional help.

And just for the record, no one gets caught their first time...

Over my head?

This would reiterate what I was saying.

It does not mean he has a problem. He was not in a public place, he was in an unlit parking lot in his car. That is not public, public would be on a mcdonald's playground. It does show poor judgment I'm not saying it wasn't, I am just saying that someone partying does not mean he has a problem. He obviously played a full season of football, people who have issues with the white girl are not able to do so. Besides, don't they get tested regularly?

Well coke only has a 48 hour window to be tested but I am with you. I don't judge him negatively for one slip up.

Umm... Ok....  I think you mean the Cowboys and WR's.

Matt wouldn't have been a starter anyway this year and he plays horribly in practice year after year. I hope he gets the help he needs and I also hope the Jaguars release him so he can get that help. To have it all and throw it away. Very sad.

Matt Jones Now
Jimmy Smith 13 year Drug Habbit
R Jay Soward Thrown out of the league for Drugs

3 WR's in 6 years I'd say its a pattern....

Thread officially derailed, sorry!

I am of the opinion that any drug use is problematic. I do not believe in recreational use of cocaine. I believe snorting up in a car in a parking lot is a public place, as the police rolled up on them during the act. I do not believe using a McDonalds playground is an equal analogy, that's going to an opposite and unlikely extreme. I think any behavior leading to your arrest is out of control.

No point in arguing any further, as we differ in opinions. I happen to side with the law, while you think that some criminal behavior is acceptable. We can leave it at that.

There is no excuse to be using crack, period. Hopefully he gets locked up behind bars or heads to rehab for a while.
