congrats, so is the consensus not to get hitched?

I'm not sure my perception can be taken into account given my current situation. However, I will say marriage has it's advantages and disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage I'd say is that regardless of how bad things get or how miserable any one's life becomes, you need to go through a legal process that is costly, very time consuming and most than likely full of drama. However, taxes are better, so that's a plus.
