I have had the same issue. 5's that look better than a 7. Problem is we don't know which area the card got downgraded on. Surface is especially hard to evaluate, especially on older non-glossy cards. And also, we don't know who graded them. It would be interesting to know if grader X consistently grades lower than grader Y, but that is never going to happen, and would probably lead to a witch hunt if we ever found out.
