For older wax, it's always good to buy from a trustworthy source.
I prefer Baseball Card Exchange, www.bbcexchange.com -- his prices are quite competitive for older stuff, too.
I'd go with stuff from 1983 or earlier. Stuff from 1970 or earlier will always be in HIGH demand but the prices will be steep. These (pre-1970) are the kinds of items you really don't want to open.
