DBN Annual Confederal

RE: DBN Annual Confederal
The Leaf Pop Century checklist being posted shows another lecture that is sure to be popular at the DBN Conference

If that wasn't enough, Leaf also now has concert tickets in the product - which may well lead to some of the most absolutely disappointing pulls of all time (look at some of the names on this list)

LIC-13 Art Garfunkel (not Simon and Garfunkel, not Paul Simon - your big hit is an Art Garfunkel ticket!)
LIC-48 Chicago (are they still actually playing shows?)
LIC-67 Eddie Money (this is sure to be one ticket to aggravation for the people who pull it)
LIC-84 Great White (great, a ticket stub from a band who is most famous now for setting a small club on fire killing 100 people - maybe not the worst hit of all time, but close - unless it is a ticket stub from The Station in West Warwick, Rhode Island - then it is absolutely the worst hit of all time)
LIC-89 Hanson (to their credit, they have happily gone off to one hit wonder oblivion)
LIC-93 Huey Lewis and the News (without American Psycho they would just be a band that no one has ever thought of for the last 30 years ago - with American Psycho, I cannot imagine anyone who isn't a serial killer Wall Street guy wanting this)
LIC-97 INXS (with the guy who stole Bob Geldof's wife and then died in very embarrassing fashion - or with the reality show winner? In fairness, after the way Michael Hutchense died, appearing on a reality show isn't the most embarrassing thing about this band)
LIC-99 J. Geils Band (maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think those guys have existed since the early 1980s.)
LIC-108 Jefferson Airplane (at least it's not Jefferson Starship!)
LIC-121 Journey
LIC-122 Journey / Foreigner
LIC-123 Journey / Styx / REO Speedwagon (yes, that is right - three different Journey tickets - I think the addition of Styx and REO Speedwagon might well make this less desirable - and who desires a Journey ticket stub who doesn't already have one)
LIC-132 Kid Rock (this will thrill all of the three people who still like Kid Rock)
LIC-133 Kiss (which of the farewell tours will it be from?)
LIC-147 Marilyn Manson (it is from his "Goes Door to Door Trying to Shock People" tour?)
LIC-150 Meat Loaf (even if you liked Meat Loaf, I can't imagine possibly owning that without feeling absolutely riducolous)
LIC-156 Mumford & Sons (I am not sure exactly who these guys are - but everyone who makes fun of hipsters mentions them so presumably this will be popular with the ironic crowd)
LIC-159 New Kids on the Block (I remember when these guys played a show at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field at the Georgia Tech campus in Midtown Atlanta - reportedly the Atlanta police received hundreds of noise complaints by people from Midtown Atlanta who were stuck hearing them - also reportedly members of New Kids on the Block started a fight at a Georgia Tech frat house. LOL!)
LIC-165 Olivia Newton-John (no offense to Olivia Newton-John, but I would get physically ill if I received this as a "hit" from a product in this price range)
LIC-168 Pat Benatar (this definitely isn't hitting you with their best shot)
LIC-172 Pentatonix (this one gets special mention because it is I believe the only one I have no idea who this is)
LIC-174 Peter Cetera (is it better to get the Chicago ticket stub or get the one member of Chicago that people actually remember?)
LIC-175 Phil Collins (Phil Collins manages to both be super popular and a mega punch line - that is quite impressive in a way)
LIC-179 Poison (Every Rose has it's Thorn - Every Hobby Box has a Sad Sad Hit)
LIC-182 Queen (with Freddy Mercury might be okay as something someone would buy - without Freddy Mercury though!)
LIC-189 REO Speedwagon
LIC-190 REO Speedwagon / Styx (yes, they also have three different REO Speedwagon ticket stubs - but then of all of the "hey, these guys are still around?" bands, REO Speedwagon is one of the more hilarious)
LIC-193 Ringo Starr (good news: you got a ticket stub from The Beatles - bad news: it's actually not The Beatles, it's just Ringo!)
LIC-201 Sammy Hagar (for people who can't drive 55 only)
LIC-217 Survivor (a band naming itself Survivor was asking for reaching "wait, those guys are still around - I can't remember the name of that one song they had" status - they achieved it)
LIC-220 Ted Nugent (does anyone still like Ted Nugent?)
LIC-221 Tesla (from my experience even people who remember their popular song (a cover of Five Man Electric Band's "Signs" can't remember who did it)
LIC-225 The Beach Boys (what are the odds this comes from a concert with no Wilsons? And absolutely everybody hates Mike Love - even people who don't know that The Beach Boys are a band hate Mike Love - people who live on isolated islands that have never heard American popular music hate Mike Love - it's just natural to hate Mike Love)
LIC-228 The Chainsmokers (this is a second one I've never heard of)
LIC-238 The Who (hopefully not from their show at Cincinnati where multiple people got trampled to death leading directly (I am not making this up, this is actually true) through a serious of weird events to The Jerry Springer Show existing)
LIC-239 Three Dog Night (I can't think of One persons who would be happy with this pull - not even the member of Three Dog Night)
LIC-247 Travis Scott (another guy who has staged a concert where fans died - come on Leaf, that is gross)
LIC-246 Toto (they didn't have Kansas but they do have Toto who I think actually turns out to be less famous than Kansas)

The full checklist is available here:

but obviously the DBN Conference Needs to have a lecture called "Making Great White Ticket Stubs "Hits"
