Case #1, Box #12
Christian Friedrich Blue Refractor /250
Adrian Beltre Purple Refractor /199
Adam Conley Auto
Grade: F
Comments: I may be grading too strictly here, but I’ll need to see more market data on Conley’s auto before I can give a passing grade.
Case #1 Summary
Grade: B-
Comments: I don’t think my colored parallels give me a ton of value, though I do like the Addison Reed orange. However, the blue auto was great, and the purple auto terrific. Also, I got a Hamilton and a Castellanos base. I’m pretty sure I got significantly more value than my $710 outlay for this case, all considered. Note that there was exactly one blue refractor in every box, and an average of one other colored non-auto per box. The 4 parallel autos were always in the two-auto boxes. This suggests that you should NEVER buy a loose box unless you’re certain that the case was unsearched. Congratulations to dlcarst for picking the EXACT PACK in which I found the purple Jerez auto. I’ll be in touch with details on your shopping spree. I’ll likely post details about the next contest sometime tomorrow, and I’ll see about some photos this evening.
