Question for a Serious Collector
If there isnt a price listed in Beckett for a card where would be a place that I could find it? This is a rare card in question that only 10 were made....

RE: Question for a Serious Collector
The other way I try is looking up a card similar (same player, memo, auto, print run). But with low # its all about how much somebody is willing to pay
Main Players: Derek Jeter, Mike Sweeney, Brett Hull, Jordan Binnington, Brendan Gallagher, Jaden Schwartz and Leon Draisaitl
Sets: Allen & Ginter mini, 2018 Archives, 2019 Heritage, 2019-20 OPC/Upper Deck Series 1 & 2 Hockey and 1956 Topps Baseball

RE: Question for a Serious Collector
Well thanks for the help. Ive tried everything I can think of trying to find a price or something close but have had no luck. You would think with the internet being so big that something would pop up but all I can find is peoples want list from years ago. Even the people on beckett who have it listed havent signed in in ages...

I'd say the best way is either find someone to check worthpoint or terapeak. You may also just simply try posting the card here. There are a ton of honest guys here that would help gauge the value.

RE: Question for a Serious Collector
some background search to get parameters:
http://www.beckett.com/search/#term=1998...l%20Ripken
http://www.beckett.com/baseball/1998/cro...tographed/
now, im not seeing any of the autos of any player in the set. so, let's see if we can find any autos from cal in that time period:
http://www.beckett.com/search/#term=1998...attr=24466
you can see some of the bv's there. a card with 10x's the print run has a bv of 350
but cant find any of those on the market
from 1999
http://www.beckett.com/search/#term=1999...66&tmm=all (youll notice a 2007 /10 has a listed bv. obviously, different eras. but it helps us get a baseline
from 1997:
http://www.beckett.com/search/#term=1997...66&tmm=all
there is an auto numbered to 40 with a listed bv of 300
also, there have been several sold:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1997...Complete=1
this a 2000 ultra (listed as 1999)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cal-Ripken-1999-...35bbfa71f4
listed in beckett here:
http://www.beckett.com/search/#term=2000...66&tmm=all
my quik assessment (i can look deeper next week): an auto from this set is so rare, and super sought after for. i think you could list it on ebay with a 1200 BIN, and accept a BO of at least 700. a buyback auto from 1997 numberd to 12 sold for 500. that kind of card? you are simply waiting for the right buyer with the right bank account. unless you desperately need the cash right now....id let it ride high on the bay and see what offers you get. maybe even higher than the 1200 BIN i stated
"Guess I stumpped you.... lol "
naw, just at the bar, watching the celts

RE: Question for a Serious Collector
Thanks alot! The thing is that this card is not autoed by Cal. Its auto is by the CEO of Pacific Cards whom is or was Michael Cramer. Do you think that would effect the price any?
