13'14 Panini Select Basketball Box Break *Gold Laker Patch & Gold Pacer Base*
13'14 Panini Select Basketball Box Break *Gold Laker Patch & Gold Pacer Base*
Decided to treat myself to a box break for my birthday and because it's been forever since I last busted a box. Out of all the available products my LCS had I liked this one the most and I'm happy with the break. 2 autos of guy's I never had and 2 patches. Well, there's a slight problem with the second patch as you will see...
Base RCs: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dwight Buycks, Gorgui Dieng, Vitor Faverani (nice), Archie Goodwin, Tim Hardaway Jr. (My best Knick hit of the box..), Solomon Hill, Sergey Karasev, Alex Len, Ben McLemore, Tony Mitchell, Kelly Olynyk, Otto Porter, Phil Pressey
Base Prizm RC: Ben McLemore
Insert RCs: Ben McLemore "Draft Selections", Nate Wolters "Red Hot", Michael Carter-Williams "Young Bloods"
Insert: Ray Allen "Clutch"
Base Prizms: Goran Dragic, Jonas Valanciunas, Danny Granger Purple Prizm #71/99
Paul George Gold Prizm #9/10
(back numbering)
Insert Prizms: Jerry West "Clutch", Russell Westbrook "White Hot" Purple Prizm #34/99
Memorabilia Cards: Walter Berry "Select Swatches" Prime Patch Prizm #13/25. THIS is a """prime""" patch? Give me a break, Panini! Thank you for basically screwing me out of 1 of my box hits..
(back numbering and bottom left corner it says "PRIME", what a joke..)
James Worthy "Select Swatches" Prime Patch Gold Prizm #4/10
(back numbering)
Autographs: Zydrunas Ilgauskas "Franchise Signatures" Purple Prizm #37/60 (My first Big Z auto and it's on-card, nice)
Steve Smith Jersey Autograph (my 1st Smity autograph as well, nice. Too bad it's a sticker though)
And my final thoughts.. I'm happy with the overall break. My only strife is Panini deciding it's okay to put a plain white "patch" on a card and being okay with that but hey, not like it hasn't been done in the past (Upper Deck). But Panini has the license right now so they are subject to my criticism. If the Berry was a jersey card then I'd be okay with it. But when it's marked "PRIME" on the back and it's just a solid white swatch there's a problem. Anyways, the designs are nice and the cards pop. Would I buy another box of this? Possibly. Would I recommend you to buy this? Sure. Until next time...

Inconstancy is my very essence says the wheel Rise up on my spokes if ya like but dnt complain wen ya cast back down into the depths Good times pass away but then so do the bad Mutability is our tragedy but its also our hope The worst of times like the best are always passin away http://www.photobucket.com/vgqv
