Charging for Org?
Does this mean that the new pricing of the price guide has now been rolled back? If will now cost $20.00 to use the Price Guide or it is now included in the price of ORG. The ORG is not free if you if you have to subscribe to the price guide since you cannot get one without the other, you just don't have to pay the additional $20.00 for the price guide.

What do you mean by rolled back? The price increase wasn't solely for the new site, but also because of increased prices in acquiring the data needed for the Price guide, inflation, etc. A 2+ year period without a rate increase is pretty good by normal standards. The $20.00 is for users who want Org and Trade with no OPG. Those who have already or buy a new OPG will have Org and Trade available to them without paying the $20.00 a year. Does that explain it better?

At least you will be able to clear out all the abandoned accounts.

They won't be doing that. Not unless they're idle for years. They don't want to lose customers so they wouldn't want to get rid of their data. It's just an unfortunate necessity for Beckett. They need finances to continue to invest in the site.

If the account is abandoned then they won't pay for them and they will be pulled.

What I was saying is someone abandoning their account, meaning just not coming to the site anymore, would require a long time of inactivity for it to be deleted. We'd hope, that in time, people see this as the best place to go, even with the fees, for Organizing and trading your cards, and we'd like them to still have their inventory.

What you fail to realize is that when people like myself cannot update our collections on here they will become outdated very quickly. I add and subtract 100's of cards each month. Once I move my database it will not be feasible to try and update it on here again. I'm afraid when we leave, we leave for good. It's a shame, but you cannot expect people to be subjected to this type of treatment on a continual basis.

It's not that I don't understand that fact, I was simply replying to his statement of us being able to delete the accounts. We (I say that as if I have the ability to, I don't) won't be deleting any accounts unless they are abandoned for a few years.

Another question I just thought of. When we do not have access to our Organize will other traders still see our cards in the system? I would hate for people to be sending trade offers to those of us with no access and not be getting responses back.

RE: Charging for Org?
This is a terrible public relations move. How could they announce this before it was fixed? Madness. I've seen my share of poor PR moves in my life, but this is pretty bad.

Fix it. Then ease it in.

There's not going to be anyone left soon. What people are saying on the other collecting sites is just terrible.

I feel awful about this. I can afford it, but I'm the first to realize not everyone can.

The site change was a shot in the leg. This is a headshot I fear.
