The three sets being ‘The Avengers’ (1992-93), ‘The Avengers In Colour’ (1993), and ‘The Avengers Return’ (1995), are produced in series. The sets are based on the action television show from the 1960s of the same name. Card fronts are white-bordered images and card backs vary in style for the succeeding sets. The first series is a black-and-white photo card set of images from the program, with the card backs filled with story and character information. Base set is numbered 1 through 81. The second series brings more photos from the show, and as the name suggests, this time in color. The card backs provide an additional black-and-white image accompanied by information about the show and the talents involved. The latter is also marked “Series 2”. The base set is continuously numbered from 82 through 180, with cards 83 and 94 as the checklists. The third and final set continues to provide colored images on front, with trivia facts and an additional black-and-white photo on the back.
