Collector's that redeemed winning Crash the Game Gold cards (randomly seeded into 1:49 Collector's Choice packs) received one of these Exchange Gold cards through mail. The exchange was based on a card-for-card trade out of the respective player mailed in. The deadline for the exchange was July 1st, 1997. Exchange Gold cards feature completely redesigned fronts and backs to the basic Crash inserts. Card fronts feature a burgundy and silver foil background with a color action shot of each player. Gold foil player names on front and gold background on the card back differentiate these cards from their more common silver Exchange siblings. Of the thirty players featured in the original Crash Gold set, only two (#20 Eric Daze and #25 Mikael Renberg) failed to win a prize, thus the Exchange Gold set is complete at 28 cards. [Collapse]
