Seventh in a series of "WIT" trivia games, this Hockey Wit card set featured 108 standard-size cards and included hockey players of the past and present. The fronts featured full-bleed color action player photos, with the player's name inside a blue box with a gold-foil border and the words "Hockey Wit". On a white background, the backs carried a small color headshot, player biography and trivia questions and answers. Inserted in each master case of 72 games was a bonus card which collectors could redeem for one of 500 limited edition sets of uncut flat sheets. The production run was reportedly limited to 30,000 sets, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale benefited amateur hockey in Canada and the United States. The set included 21 Hall of Famers. The collector who answers all the questions on the backs achieved a perfect score of 801, the total number of goals scored in the NHL by Gordie Howe.
