The 28 cards in this set were randomly inserted into Parkhurst product at a rate of 1:23 packs. There were three variations of each card in this set. Each of the three foil logo colors reflected the different distribution method. Red foil indicated Canadian packaging, blue foil U.S. retail and green foil U.S. hobby. The cards were numbered on the back with a corresponding prefix of C, R, or H. Since the cards were created to be used as an interactive game, the backs contain the rules in extremely fine-print legalese in both English and French, as well as two game dates. If the team featured on the front won on one or both of those dates, the card could be redeemed for a specially foiled set. Unfortunately, the NHL lockout of 1994 prevented the games from being played. As a result, Upper Deck declared all cards winners, enabling each to be redeemed for a 28-card gold-foil version of the set by mail. The expiration date for the exchange was June 30th, 1995.
