This set of 92 collectibles was sponsored by Kraft-General Foods Canada to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the NHL. It consisted of 68 standard-size cards and 24 discs. To store the set, a 75th Anniversary NHL hockey card album could be purchased. Kraft also provided the opportunity for the collector to purchase any combination of ten cards or discs through the mail to complete the set. Cards 1-40 were issued in Kraft Dinners, cards 41-56 in Kraft Spirals, and cards 57-64 in Kraft Noodles. An eight-card subset highlights "Great Moments" in NHL history. The fronts featured action player photos framed inside a team color border. The player's name was printed in black lettering across the top while the team name, team logo, and 75th NHL Anniversary logo appeared below the picture. The horizontally oriented backs were light gray with red print and carry biography, career statistics, and logos. Measuring 2 3/4" in diameter, the discs (65-88) were available under the caps of Kraft Peanut Butter. They featured action cut-out photos of two players (superimposed on a blue background), pairing today's All-Stars with legends of the past. Players' names and their teams appeared in a white semi-circular margin. The bilingual disc backs were bright yellow with black print and carried biographical and statistical information. Both discs and cards were numbered on the back. [Collapse]
