1997 Absolute Unsung Heroes

Randomly inserted in packs at the rate of one in 12, this 30 card set highlights players that are not found very often in the spotlight. The players in the set were selected by fan ballots inserted in 1996 Playoff Prime packs. Zach Thomas highlights a set full of unheralded hard workers. The cards were released again in factory set form at the February 28, 1997 Unsung Heroes Banquet.
