The 1976 Buckmans football disc set of 20 is unnumbered and features star players from the National Football League. The circular cards measure approximately 3 3/8" in diameter. The players' pictures are in black and white with a colored arc serving as the disc border. Four stars complete the border at the top. The backs of the most common version contain the address of the Buckmans Ice Cream outlet in Rochester, New York. A much scarcer blankbacked version of the set was also prodcued and though to have been issued in packages of Safelon lunch bags. Another version that reads "Customized Sports Discs" on the back exists and is thought to have been issued as promotional pieces or samples.
