The 1967 American Oil All-Pro set featured 21-stamps with each measuring approximately 7/8" by 1 1/8". The contestant needed to acquire an 8 1/2" by 11" collection sheet from a participating American Oil dealer on which he would place the stamps. The sheet was arranged in five rows with the prize level listed above each row. Each 3-stamp sheet was numbered with a letter as noted below. The consumer received envelopes from participating dealers that contained sheets of two perforated player stamps and one Mustang car stamp. Note that the Jim Taylor sheet contained a "Service Award" stamp instead of a second player. If all stamps in a particular prize group were collected, the consumer won that particular prize: the grand prize of a 1968 Ford Mustang, $100, $25, $5, or $1 cash. The $1 prize could be won by acquiring the stamps of Johnny Morris, Tommy Nobis, and Jim Taylor. The $5 prize required the stamps of Timmy Brown, Jimmy Orr, Fran Tarkenton, and Brady Keys. The $25 prize required stamps of John Unitas, Bob Hayes, Bill Brown, and Junior Coffey. The $100 prize required Gary Collins, Sonny Jurgensen, Charley Johnson, Gale Sayers, and Merlin Olsen. To win the 1968 Mustang required stamps of Bart Starr, Wayne Walker, Charley Taylor, Larry Wilson, and Ken Willard. The "winning" player for each prize group is fairly scarce, (and not neccessary for a complete set) since each is thought to have been largely redeemed. Each stamp front features a color action player photo. The stamps are blank-backed and unnumbered and have been checklisted below alphabetically. [Collapse]
