Each of these 1992-93 Fleer Sheets is perforated and features slots for 12 standard-size player cards. Though some of the sheets show 12 players, others show 10 or 11, with the other slots filled by advertisement cards. We have cataloged the single cards in alphabetical order, followed by the unperforated team sheets. Each sheet was given away in connection with a promotion. The Bulls sheet was available at Shell gas stations in the Chicago area, sold for 99 cents with an eight-gallon minimum purchase. The Mavs sheet was handed out to all attendees of a late season Mavericks-Timberwolves game. The sheet featured one of the first Jim Jackson pro cards due to his late signing. The Magic sheet was promoted by Gooding's, a supermarket chain in central Florida. Its owner, a season ticket holder, sponsored the giveaway of these sheets to the first 15,000 individuals at the Fan Appeal game (the last game of the year). The fronts feature color action player photos, enclosed by metallic bronze borders and accented on the right by two team color-coded pebble-grain stripes. On a tan pebble-grain background, the horizontal back carries on its left side a color close-up framed by an arch. On the right side are the player's name and position on two team color-coded stripes, followed below by biography, statistics, and career highlights. The cards differ from their regular issue counterparts in that they are unnumbered. [Collapse]
