This 330-card first series was released in February, 2008. The set was issued in myriad forms both in and outside the hobby. The packs were issued into the hobby in 10-card packs, with an $1.59 SRP, which came 36 packs to a box and 12 boxes to a case. The HTA packs had 46-cards (44 cards if a relic card was inserted), with an $10 SRP, which came 10 packs to a box and six boxes to a case. Card number 234, which featured the Boston Red Sox celebrating their 2007 World Series victory was issued in a regular version and in a photoshopped version in which Presidential Candidate (and noted Yankee fan) Rudy Giuliani was placed into the celebration.
