Each pack contained five cards and carried a suggested retail price of $4.99. In late December, 2000, Upper Deck released their Rookie Update brand which carried a selection of new cards to extend the 2000 SP Authentic, SPx and UD Pros and Prospects brands. The new Pros and Prospects cards featured an extension of the Prospective Superstars subset (cards 133-162) with each card serial numbered to 1,600 and a selection of veterans (cards 163-192) composed of player's either initially not included in the basic set or traded to new teams. Notable Rookie Cards include Barry Zito (his first licensed MLB card), Xavier Nady, and Ben Sheets. Also, a selection of A Piece of History 3000 Club Lou Brock and Rod Carew memorabilia cards were randomly seeded into packs. 350 bat cards, 350 jersey cards and 100 hand-numbered combination bat-jersey cards were produced for each player. In addition, twenty autographed, hand-numbered, combination bat-jersey Lou Brock cards and twenty nine autographed, hand-numbered, combination bat-jersey Rod Carew cards were produced. Pricing for these memorabilia cards can be referenced under 2000 Upper Deck A Piece of History 3000 Club. [Collapse]
