2000 Ultra

This 300 card set was issued late in 1999. The cards were distributed in 10 card packs with an SRP of $2.69. The product was issued in either 8, 12 or 30 box cases. The prospect subset were numbered from 251 through 300 and were printed in shorter quantity than the regular cards and inserted one every four packs. This 300 card set was issued late in 1999. The cards were distributed in 10 card packs with an SRP of $2.69. The product was issued in either 8, 12 or 30 box cases. The prospect subset were numbered from 251 through 300 and were printed in shorter quantity than the regular cards and inserted one every four packs. Two separate Alex Rodriguez Promo cards were distributed to dealers and hobby media several weeks prior to the product's release. The first card features identical glossy card front stock as the basic Ultra 2000 product and has the words "PROMOTIONAL SAMPLE" running diagonally across the back of the card. The second, more scarce, card features a lenticular ribbed plastic card front (creating a primitive 3-D effect). Both promos share the same photo of Rodriguez as is used on the basic issue A-Rod 2000 Ultra card. [Collapse]
