Randomly inserted in packs, this 400-card set is parallel to the regular Leaf issue and features color player photos with either a bronze, silver or gold finish. Only 200 cards are bronze, 120 cards are silver, and 80 cards are gold. No card is available in more than one of the colors. In a convoluted effort, the fractal matrix parallel concept split the 400 card set into nine different tiered levels of parallels, each with print runs that varied from as many of several thousand of some cards (mostly the Bronze cards) to less than a few hundred of other cards (In the Gold X subset). Cards were split into colors (Bronze, Gold and Silver) and axis (X, Y and Z). Cards are listed in our checklist with color and axis designation. Unfortunately, the designers at Leaf failed to create any notable markings to differentiate the X, Y and Z axis for all the cards in this set. Leaf did issue an axis schematic on the back of the 1997 boxes and we've carefully incorporated that information into our checklist for accurate reference. [Collapse]
