This standard-size redemption set was reportedly the brainchild of MLB's Ray Schulte, who obtained the cooperation of the five major baseball card manufacturers to each produce 15,000 special Roberto Clemente cards for the '94 All-Star FanFest in Pittsburgh, July 8-12. Each card was redeemable only at each manufacturer's booth for five wrappers of any '94 baseball product from that company. The undistributed cards were reportedly destroyed.
