The 35 commemorative sheets listed below in chronological order were issued by Upper Deck in 1992. The Upper Deck Heroes of Baseball made stops in all 26 MLB ballparks, as well as Mile High Stadium in Denver. They sponsored old-timer baseball games and donated $10,000 to the Baseball Assistance Team, a group dedicated to helping members of the baseball family that have fallen upon hard times. At each game a limited edition commemorative sheet was distributed. Four other commemorative sheets were produced in honor of other events. When the Orioles moved to Oriole Park at Camden Yards on April 6, Upper Deck distributed 17,000 individually numbered sheets free to fans. These sheets feature four artistic views of the new stadium. The first 1992 sheet listed below was issued at the Yankee Fan Festival held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York Jan. 31-Feb. 2. Sheets 17 and 18 were issued at the All-Star Game in San Diego. Sheets 31 and 32 were inserted into retail repacks of eight 1992 Upper Deck foil packs. Displaying different player cards, sheets 33-34 are two different versions of the same sheet and list dates and locations of collectors shows. All the sheets measure 8 1/2" by 11" and most feature artist renderings of players from the teams recreated for the old-timers games. The front carries the individual production number out of the total number produced, but otherwise the sheets are unnumbered. [Collapse]
