This four card set, which measures 6 7/*' by 4 7/8" features memorable Mets teams and managers. The relevant pictures are on the card front with the backs being brown with white printing, and show statistics. Each card was individually wrapped in cellophane and distributed as a promotion at Mets home games in 1981. The cards are most commonly found with the cellophane intact and are priced accordingly below. The scheduled dates for these giveaways were July 2, July 16, July 23 and August 6. Unfortunately, due to the baseball strike of 1981 the cards were all distributed at later dates in the season. According to information released in 1981, approximately 20,000 of these sets were issued. [Collapse]
