1976 Taylor/Schmierer Bowman 47

This set which measures 2 1/16" by 2 1/2" was issued by show promoters Bob Schmierer and Ted Taylor to promote what would become their long running EPSCC shows in the Philadelphia area. This set which measures 2 1/16" by 2 1/2" was issued by show promoters Bob Schmierer and Ted Taylor to promote what would become their long running EPSCC shows in the Philadelphia area. The set is designed in the style of the 1948 Bowman set and according to printed stories even some of the same paper stock was used for these sets as was used in 1948. The first series (1-49) cards sell for considerably more than the later two series. A reprint card of the T-206 Wagner along with a card of show promoter and long time hobbyist Ted Taylor were also produced. They are not considered part of the complete set.
