This set of 11 pins is described on each pin as "Club of Champs." The set was issued about 1952 by Hawthorn-Mellody Dairy in Chicago featuring members of the Chicago White Sox. The coloring of each pin is brownish sepia and white. Since the pins are unnumbered, they are ordered below in alphabetical order. The player's name only (no position) is given on the front of the pin. Each pin measures approximately 1 3/8" in diameter. The set also technically includes an eleventh pin, the "Club of Champs Member" pin. These pins were designed to be worn on a special "beanie" created to give a home for the pins. The set of 10 came in a small box with red lettering. The box featured a facsimile signature from football Hall of Famer Red Grange. In addition, a brochure featuring information on the 11 players was also produced. [Collapse]
