One of the most attractive postcards ever issued, The Rose Company postcards were issued during the end of the 20th century's first decade. The set features a black and white photo in a circle surrounded by a yellow and green baseball field, crossed bats and small figures. Imprints on the reverse contain the letters TRC, with the loop around the bottom of the C possibly accounting for a lower case "o," giving Co. The Rose Co. baseball series is listed in alphabetical order by teams in the checklist below-research indicates that each of the 16 major league teams is represented by 12 Rose postcards (to date not all have been found). And several minor league franchises are now believed to have 10 or more cards for them as well. The cards we currently list as 192 through 204 all feature members of the Springfield Mass baseball team. Although it is not confirmed that these are Rose postcards, the similarities are obvious enough that to add these to these listings makes sense. [Collapse]
