This set of 48 collectibles was sponsored by Kraft General Foods Canada to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Stanley Cup. It consisted of 24 team cards, 12 discs, and 12 All-Star cards. To store the set, a Stanley Cup 100th anniversary album could be purchased by sending in three UPC symbols from Kraft Dinner, one UPC symbol from both Kraft Peanut Butter and Kraft Singles, and 12.99 along with sales tax and shipping and handling charges. The album included special storage sheets for the cards, the history of the Stanley Cup, and team autographs. The team cards, which measured approximately 5 3/16" by 3 7/16" and were distributed on the back of Kraft Dinner boxes, showed players in their centennial uniforms. The team name and logo appeared in a team color-coded stripe at the bottom. The backs were plain cardboard with the team history in red print. The discs, which measure approximately 2 3/4" in diameter and were distributed under the lids of Kraft Peanut Butter jars, are double-sided and feature 24 NHL goaltenders. The goalies are shown in action in a three-quarter-moon shaped picture against a team color-coded background. Statistics are included on the disc. The 12 All-Star cards, which measured approximately 1 3/4" by 2 1/2" and were distributed in groups of four in packages of Kraft Singles, carry color action player photos with white borders. A facsimile autograph was near the bottom of the picture. The player's name was printed in the wider bottom border between sponsor logos. The backs were white and included biographical information, statistics, and career highlights. Collectors who did not complete the series by purchasing the products could obtain any combination of eight cards or discs by sending the same UPC symbols, 3.00, plus shipping and handling charges.
