This Privacy Notice explains how Beckett Collectibles Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively “Beckett,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data collected or processed via our website, apps, or other digital or online platforms we may use (collectively the “Services”) as well as through our offline interactions with you.
Personal data generally means information about you that alone, or when combined with other data, can be used to identify you. We may collect, process, store, and share your personal data throughout the course of our relationship with you as described in this Privacy Notice. The types of personal data we collect and the ways we use, store, and share that data depend on the nature and circumstances of our relationship with you.
For the purpose of this Privacy Notice, we are the Data Controller of your personal data. Data Controller means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be, processed.
For certain commercial services offered by Beckett, we may collect business information such as account contact name, business phone numbers, and business email addresses. To the extent business information is excluded from or not included in the definition of “personal data,” “personal information,” or similar terms under applicable statutes, regulations, or case law in your jurisdiction, Beckett may use such information as it sees fit for its business purposes and such information will not be subject to the terms of this Privacy Notice.
Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Notice, the terms used in this Privacy Notice have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible from beckett.com.
II. How We Collect Personal Data
We may collect personal data about you in any of the following ways, depending on your relationship with Beckett and how you interact with us:
- When you submit it to us via the Services, webforms, or do business with us online or offline, such as when you contact us, submit a grading order, request additional information about a product or service, sign up for a mailing or other type of newsletter, or reach out to us regarding a question or concern.
- From the devices you use to access the Services, which may provide usage data and related technical information to us via cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies.
- Cookies: Small files that are transferred to your device’s hard drive to store user preferences and other types of information to help us provide you with certain features.
- Web Beacons or Pixels: Electronic images placed in the code of a webpage, application, or email that allow us to monitor things such as user activity and site traffic.
- Tags: Pieces of code, or tags, which gather information about users. For example, tags are used on our websites to better understand online usage patterns and trends. We may also use tags in our emails or newsletters to count how many of those messages are read.Â
- From our vendors and service providers, such as our web hosting partners and analytics providers, who may provide us with information about you or your use of the Services.
- From publicly available information, including the information you post publicly on social media.
III. Types of Personal Data Collected
The personal data we collect about you depends on how we interact with you. This may include the following types of personal data:
- Personal contact details such as your email address, first name and last name, phone number, address, state, province, ZIP/postal code, city, and country.
- Beckett account information such as your username, account number, order history, and collection information.
- Payment information such as your credit card number.
- Technical information such as your IP address, device IDs, browser information, and other cookies and usage data as described below.
- Professional and employment information if you apply for a job with us, such as your employment history, educational history, qualifications and skills, date of birth, employment eligibility information, and criminal background information where permitted by local law.
Usage Data
We may collect information on how the Services are accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
Tracking and Cookies Data
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Services. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include a unique identifier for your device or browser. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Other tracking technologies are also used, such as beacons, tags, and scripts, to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Services.

- To detect, prevent and address technical issues,
- To provide customer support,
- To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information,
- To provide marketing, communications, and offers for products or services from Beckett or third parties,
- To prevent, detect, investigate, and respond to fraud and unauthorized access or use of the Services, including breaches of terms and policies or other wrongful behavior,
- To evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of a bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal data held by us is among the assets transferred,
- To comply with any procedures, laws, and regulations that apply to us, including those that set retention periods,
- To respond to law enforcement requests and as required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulations, including our transparency reporting obligations, or
- As otherwise described to you at the time your personal data is collected, or with your consent, if not listed here.
V. Disclosure of Personal Data
Beckett may share personal data with its affiliates and subsidiaries for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. We may also share personal data as follows:
With Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals ("Service Providers") who perform a variety of services and functions for us, such as data storage, order fulfillment, and financial, legal, and marketing services. These Service Providers have access to personal data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Disclosures for Law Enforcement Purposes
Under certain circumstances, Beckett may be required to disclose personal data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
To Comply with Legal Requirements or Protect Beckett
Beckett may disclose personal data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- To comply with a legal obligation,
- To protect and defend the rights or property of Beckett,
- To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services,
- To protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public, or
- To protect against legal liability.
With Business Transaction Partners
We may disclose personal data to a business transaction partner in the event we go through a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of Beckett’s assets.
To Third Parties with Consent
We may disclose personal data to other third parties for their independent use upon your request or with your authorization.

California residents have certain rights under the California Shine the Light law and the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA").
CCPA Disclosures
In general, within the preceding 12 months:
- We have collected the categories of Personal Information listed in Section B above.
- We have collected these categories of Personal Information directly from you, when you use our Services, and from third parties for the purposes described in Section C above.
- We have disclosed the following categories of Personal Information for business purposes: Identifiers and contact information; professional and employment-related information; commercial information; transactional information; and internet and network activity information.
- We do not use sensitive Personal Information for inferring characteristics about individuals.
- We do not use automated processing of Personal Information for profiling purposes.
While our business model does not involve sharing or selling Personal Information for money, under certain U.S. state laws, some of the cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies on our Services that collect Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes may be considered “selling” or “sharing” Personal Information. We may “sell” or “share” your Personal Information for such cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. We do not otherwise “sell” or “share” Personal Information as defined under these U.S. state laws.
You have the right to opt out of such sales and sharing of your Personal Information. To do so, please click the Cookie Settings link in the footer of the Services and decline all non-essential cookies.
CCPA Privacy Rights
As of January 1, 2020, certain California residents are entitled to privacy rights under the CCPA. Clients who wish to exercise these rights should direct their requests to the Member that controls their Personal Information.
The right to know. You have the right to request to know:
- the specific pieces of Personal Information we have about you;
- the categories of Personal Information we have collected about you in the last 12 months;
- the categories of sources from which that Personal Information was collected;
- the categories of your Personal Information that we sold or disclosed in the last 12 months;
- the categories of third parties to whom your Personal Information was sold or disclosed in the last 12 months; and
- the purpose for collecting and selling your Personal Information.
The right to deletion. You have the right to request that we delete the Personal Information that we have collected or maintain about you. We may deny your request under certain circumstances, such as if we need to comply with our legal obligations or complete a transaction for which your Personal Information was collected. If we deny your request for deletion, we will let you know the reason why.
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information. To exercise this right, click the Cookie Settings link in the footer of the Services and decline all non-essential cookies.
The right to equal service. If you choose to exercise any of these rights, we will not discriminate against you in anyway. If you exercise certain rights, understand that you may be unable to use or access certain features of our Services.
You may exercise your right to know and your right to deletion twice a year free of charge. To exercise your right to know or your right to deletion, contact us at privacy@beckett.com.
We will take steps to verify your identity before processing your request to know or request to delete. We will not fulfill your request unless you have provided sufficient information for us to verify you are the individual about whom we collected Personal Information. If you have an Account with us, we will use our existing Account authentication practices to verify your identity. If you do not have an Account with us, we may request additional information about you to verify your identity. We will only use the Personal Information provided in the verification process to verify your identity or authority to make a request and to track and document request responses unless you initially provided the information for another purpose.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request to know or a request to delete. When we verify your agent’s request, we may verify both your and your agent’s identity and request a signed document from you that authorizes your agent to make the request on your behalf. To protect your Personal Information, we reserve the right to deny a request from an agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on their behalf.
Shine the Light
Our California customers are also entitled to request and obtain from Beckett once per calendar year information about any of your Personal Information shared with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, including the categories of information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we have shared such information. Our Policy on "Do Not Track" Signals under the California Online Protection Act (CalOPPA)
We do not support Do Not Track ("DNT"). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.
VII. European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Statement
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Beckett's legal basis for collecting and using the personal data described in this Privacy Notice depends on the personal data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.
Beckett may process your personal data because:
- We need to perform a contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c))
- You have given us consent to do so (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a))
- The processing is in our legitimate interests, and it is not overridden by your rights (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
- To comply with the law (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
- In rare cases, where necessary to protect the life or imminent safety of you or another individual and where no other legal basis applies (GDPR Art. 6(1)(d))
Your Data Protection Rights under the GDPR
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Beckett aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your personal data. If you wish to be informed about what personal data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us.
In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:
- The right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you. Whenever made possible, you can access, update, or request deletion of your personal data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us to assist you.
- The right of rectification. You have the right to have your information rectified if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.
- The right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data where the processing is based on our legitimate interests.
- The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.
- The right to data portability. You have the right to be provided with a copy of the information we have on you in a structured, machine-readable, and commonly used format.
- The right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where Beckett relied on your consent to process your personal data.
Please note that we will ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests in order to protect your personal data from unauthorized disclosure, modification, or deletion.
You may request to exercise your rights at any time by contacting us using the contact information listed below. You will not receive discriminatory treatment if you exercise any rights conferred to you by law. Please note that, depending on the circumstances and where you are located, not all of the below rights may be available to you.
We will handle any request to exercise your rights in accordance with applicable law, but please note that these rights may not be absolute. Beckett may refuse or deny a request in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Please contact us as described below to appeal any decision made regarding your request.
You have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your personal data. For more information, please contact your local data protection authority in the European Economic Area (EEA).
International Transfers of Personal Data
Beckett is a global company with global affiliates, and therefore we use global vendors, subcontractors, systems, and applications. As a result, the personal data that we collect and process about you may be transferred, stored, or accessed in a destination outside of your country, which may have less strict or no data protection laws when compared to the laws in your country. Any transfers of personal data to Beckett affiliates or third parties outside your local country will be conducted in compliance with the international data transfer restrictions that apply under applicable data protection laws.
We take legally required measures to ensure that adequate safeguards are in place (e.g., standard contractual clauses, data transfer agreements) to protect your personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws and this Privacy Notice.
VIII. Retention of Personal Data
Beckett will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
Beckett will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. usage data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.
IX. Security of Personal Data
The security of your data is important to us and we maintain reasonable security standards to protect the personal data we maintain. However, it is important to remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
X. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children").
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Notice from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Notice on this page.
We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Notice.
