It's been a long time since I have been on here but I am now trying to build my collection back up. So the question I have is, how does everyone organize their cards? Do you do it by player last name, team, set, etc. ?
Personal preference

Go look at my organizer and a few others and try to figure what works best for you. This is my best advice I can give Not trying to sound rude or anything like that.

Player and year for PC; attribute, year, set for everything that's for trade (so all autos will be together, by year, by set name, all mem, all inserts, etc.)
http://www.bojesphob.com/viewcollection.aspx

This is how I'm organizing mine now. Built this in my spare time over the summer. Still working little bits on it, but also have forms for adding, assigning an image, and adding brands, sets, subsets, and players.

Thanks! Smile It was fun, really. Of course, I'm strange, I like database design and web development. I've even got 7800 cards scanned and attached to the cards in that as well!

Really really cool man! If I wasn't so lazy and so disliked web design/database development, I'd be able to make something about a quarter as good as that! I enjoyed paging through all your Finest Packer cards. Is that all up to date or are there outstanding wants you have in that area?
What I'll trade vs. what I won't and then by years and sets.
Thanks everyone for the great advice. I was going one direction with my collection but I think I may change it. Luckily I didn't get far.

That is just mind blowing. Absolutely awesome. There is no way I would ever be able design something like that.
