The first of two Legends of Indy sets was produced in 1991 by Collegiate Collection of Kentucky to celebrate the 75th Indy 500. The cards were distributed in complete set form and feature past and present stars of the IndyCar circuit. An album to house the cards was also produced and originally sold for $8.95 plus $2.50 shipping. The final card in the set could have been redeemed for a special card of the 1991 race winner Rick Mears.
