Winnipeg Jets fans get Upper Deck arena promo set

Winnipeg Jets fans were happy to see their team end a dangerous four-game losing streak as they defeated the visiting Arizona Coyotes on January 18, but the game was also special for those in attendance at the MTS Centre as they were given a set of promotional hockey cards made by Upper Deck to enjoy.

Sponsored by Mr. Lube, this set features seven cards that utilize this year’s basic Upper Deck design. The cards here all have different photos than those in Series 1 that were taken at the 2016 Heritage Classic and do not have foil accents on the front.

Perhaps the best feature of this set outside of the strong photography is the fact that a card of rookie superstar Patrik Laine was included. His Young Guns card is slated to arrive in 2016-17 Upper Deck Series Two, so this card was most welcome in the eyes of fans wanting to get one of his cards without breaking the bank.

This is the second Jets-themed promotional set that Upper Deck has produced this season as the earlier one came out in conjunction with the Heritage Classic.
