First, Ferrell took the field — and now he’ll be taking over the hobby.

Topps teased on Wednesday that there will be Will Ferrell certified autographs in 2015 Topps Archives when it arrives on June 10.

In fact, there will be 10 different cards — one for each of his MLB teams — and there will be regular cards to chase, too. Ferrell, who is historically not an easy autograph to obtain, signed 10 copies per card. These will be his first certified autographs.

Ferrell

On March 12, Ferrell played for 10 teams in the same day during a tour of spring training stops in Arizona as part of a cancer-awareness publicity stunt that was filmed for an HBO special from “Funny or Die” in an effort to fight cancer. The #FerrellTakesTheField promotion was done in conjunction with Major League Baseball.

Game-used memorabilia from every game he played in was auctioned on MLB.com with the proceeds going to Cancer for College, an organization that provides scholarships for cancer survivors, and Stand Up To Cancer, which has worked with MLB often in the past.

He played for the A’s, Angels, Cubs, Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Giants, Mariners, Padres, Reds and White Sox.

His Padres card looks awesome with that action shot. Probably the only one I will search for unless his cubs card has an action photo

I wonder if he will be in Ginter this year? These seem too limited to quench the demand.

I would love to get one of the hundred autographs that will be there………BUT, with all the ‘hype’, the price ALWAYS starts out high, just ask this ‘novice’9 years ago when 2006 Bowman Chrome hit the shelves-I saw a Kenji Johjima auto RC for a whopping $325/ OBO……with the ‘hype’ of only being in A VERY FEW CASES (which was true) & I offered $275, which was snatched up right away. Fast forward to the end of the decade & I read he was heading back to Japan and his card values plummeted. I’d been collecting almost fifteen years, but was pretty new to purchasing autographed cards……….so, I will ‘wait n see’ on these

No Yankee uni? No Ferrell for me! … Unless I pack-pull one, then I’d happily include it in my PC!

From mod: Ferrell did not play in a game for the Yankees.
