Wayne Gretzky added to NHL Figures League app

The NHL Figures League app from Imports Dragon has been running for several weeks and players from around the world have been able to compete head-to-head using their collection of figurines featuring the best current pro talent.
Well, it looks like there is a hockey legend joining that lineup as well as the company has revealed a digital figure of the Great One, Wayne Gretzky.
How can the Gretzky figure become a part of your lineup? There are two options currently available for players and
one involves visiting the Imports Dragon booth at the 2017 NHL Fan Fair in Los Angeles. Starting today until the
event closes on Sunday, visitors can potentially unlock this coveted item and add it to their collection.
Those who are unable to attend the 2017 NHL Fan Fair need not worry if they are a regular user of the app. Imports Dragon has stated that the 100 users playing the most times between January 26 and 29 will also be given one of these digital Gretzky figures.
In terms of game play, the All-Star edition of Gretzky figure will require eight points to play, but it is an extremely adept passer with decent shooting and interception abilities. As a bonus, the shot becomes even more dangerous as two “x” dice can be re-rolled when used.
With the release of this virtual figure, it appears that Imports Dragon has signed a deal to produce figurines of Gretzky. However, the company has not announced any plans for a physical version as of yet.

Boy, that’s it. I’m so sick and tired of this digital garbage. 99% of the fun of collecting is having something on your shelf, something for people to see when they came over, something tangible. Nowadays, it’s all fake. I can tell you that I’m 31 years old and feel this way, it’s not like I’m an old man being mad at modern society. This is just ridiculously garbage and I for one am done collecting. Between this garbage and these unbelievably high end products that aren’t worth the cardboard they’re printed on, that’s it for me. Good luck sports collectible hobby, you’re gonna need it.
And yes, I did read the article and know that Dragon is thinking of releasing a physical figure, but that does not take away from the virtual junk. It’s just like the Topps Now stuff. Yes, it’s physical, but I’d rather buy a pack and get a card right then and there, not have to fight to get one because I signed in too late and couldn’t buy one online. Pathetic.
