Upper Deck renews Team Canada license
With the Winter Olympics coming up next year, this seems like a good time for Upper Deck to announce it has renewed its license agreement with Hockey Canada in a multi-year deal.
Upper Deck will remain the exclusive trading card company for Canada’s national teams. This deal also allowed Upper Deck to get Team Canada memorabilia items for Upper Deck Authenticated.
“We have enjoyed a great relationship with Hockey Canada and are very happy to bring Canadian hockey fans collectibles and trading cards featuring players from their beloved national team,” said Jason Masherah, president of Upper Deck, in a press release. “Fans can expect Upper Deck to branch out by creating some compelling trading card releases for Hockey Canada in the future, while continuing to deliver meaningful content to existing hockey and multi-sport products.”
Upper Deck will release 2013 Upper Deck Team Canada Hockey cards coming up . The set will feature a 230-card base with two or more autographs per box.
