Upcoming Magic: The Gathering TCG Release Dates
Brewers, the chase is on! Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has given fans of Magic: The Gathering a lot of exciting new products throughout 2025, and there is a whole lot more to come.
Some of the highly anticipated releases of 2025 have included Marvel’s Spider-Man, Edge of Eternities, FINAL FANTASY, Tarkir: Dragonstorm, Foundations, and Secret Lair Drop Series. Fans get another high-end product release starting on November 14: Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender
Avatar: The Last Airbender prereleases to select local card shops on November 14-20, with a nationwide department store release on November 21. WotC bills the new release as a chance to “master the elements and join your favorite characters for new adventures, iconic art, and an elemental showdown like never before.”
Release date: November 21, 2025
Lorwyn Eclipsed
The next release date to note is scheduled for January 23, 2026 – Lorwyn Eclipsed: Return to the Land of Light and Shadow. The worlds of day (Lorwyn) and night (Shadowmoor) collide in Lorwyn Eclipsed. Quests from the tranquility rules under the sun god Eirdu in Lorwyn while chaos ensues in Shadowmoor. WotC dares players to “discover your true self under the perpetual moonlight of this dual-aspect plane.”
Release date: January 23, 2026
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The yells of “Turtle Power” in tournaments across the planet can already be heard. Our favorite shelled reptilians bring their action-packed exploits to the TCG format in March of 2026. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles release brings heavy nostalgia and a trip down memory lane with amazing artwork keeping the action going tournament after tournament.
Release date: March 6, 2026
Secrets of Strixhaven
A long-awaited release, since the announcement in 2023 during MagicCon, fans return to Arcavios in the third and final release of the Metronome storyline in Secrets of Strixhaven.
WotC’s teaser: “Find your place among the five colleges as we put down the books and delve into the real world! Uncover the Secrets of Strixhaven and prove your college is the best with every spell you cast.”
Card art for Secrets of Strixhaven has not been released.
Release date: April 2026
Marvel SUPER HEROES
With the expectation of a further build off the 2025 release of Spider-Man, in June fans will get Marvel SUPER HEROES. WotC has teased the product release sharing, “The world’s greatest strategy card game and your favorite Earth-based Marvel characters join forces! Create powerful team ups of iconic heroes and villains and experience comic book action like never before.”
First-look cards have not been releases yet.
Release date: June 2026
The Hobbit
Fans can join Bilbo Baggins on another adventure in Middle-earth, this time in TCG fashion. Baggins, the title character of J. R. R. Tolkien’s 1937 novel The Hobbit, gets his own TCG release, a set stocked full of Trolls, Elves, and Dwarves with “gold or dragon’s fire at the end.”
First-look cards for The Hobbit have yet to be released.
